Job Requirements
- Education at least associate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Ability to manage cost controls and food service operations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation
- Ability to supervise hourly associates
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking methods
- Strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and Internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- Supervise hourly kitchen associates
- Develop daily menu items including preparation and garnishment
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
