Job Requirements

  • previous experience within a food service operation
  • serve safe certification within last 3 years
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong understanding of food handling and sanitation
  • capability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • willingness to participate in hiring and training processes

Job Duties

  • supervise kitchen staff including cooks prep cooks and utility staff
  • ensure high quality standards are met with each item leaving the kitchen
  • communicate with residents on a daily basis to ensure quality assurance of service
  • participate in planning and operation aspects of menu production
  • coordinate training schedule and agendas of all staff members
  • assist in hiring process including interviewing
  • assist with coordination and production of catering functions
  • manage employee counseling and evaluation
  • maintain sanitation and food handling standards
  • maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • perform other duties as assigned by a manager
