Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous leadership experience preferred
- managers food handlers permit required
- must be self-motivated and organized
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently and multitask
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent is required
- college or culinary training is preferred
- previous leadership experience is preferred
- must hold a managers food handlers permit which may be facilitated by Spectrum Retirement
- experience in an office environment answering phones or customer service preferred
- must be self-motivated organized and professional
- must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time
- strong communication skills are critical for working with residents family members and team members
Job Duties
- hire and train line cooks and dishwashers under general direction of the director of food and beverage
- place food and supply orders
- complete and document safety audits and monthly in-service trainings
- ensure correct plate presentation prior to dishes leaving the kitchen
- oversee kitchen labor and food cost and monitor budget
- prepare high quality food
