Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior scratch-cooking and culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time with flexible hours
  • Capacity to supervise and lead food service associates
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policies
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or relevant culinary experience
  • Prior experience working in a kitchen environment preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality standards
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic inventory management experience

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and reviewing
  • Stores food in designated areas following food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Maintains proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Cleans workstation and display equipment during meal service
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of daily menu items
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of products and supplies
  • Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
  • Informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
