Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior scratch-cooking and culinary experience preferred
- Ability to work full time with flexible hours
- Capacity to supervise and lead food service associates
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policies
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary experience
- Prior experience working in a kitchen environment preferred
- Strong leadership and supervision skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality standards
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic inventory management experience
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and reviewing
- Stores food in designated areas following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintains proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Cleans workstation and display equipment during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of daily menu items
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of products and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
