Job Requirements
- Prior frontline cooking experience
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday
- Open availability including days, nights, and weekends preferred for catering events
- Ability to supervise and lead food service associates
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior frontline cooking experience preferred
- Experience in sauté, grill, salad, soup, and entree preparation
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a foodservice setting
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Relay relevant information directly to supervisor
- Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
- Keep up with peak production and service hours
- Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Track product production, consumption and waste
- Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Perform other duties as assigned
