Job Requirements

  • Three plus years of experience working as sous chef in a similar volume-based business
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and leadership in complex employee relations matters
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, events/catering software, timekeeping/scheduling systems and point-of-sale systems
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating across all levels of an organization
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English
  • Must be able to obtain manager food safety certifications
  • Flexible and dependable to work full-time day or night shifts, weekends and holidays, up to 50 hours per week
  • Culinary degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain the highest quality and standards in daily kitchen operations
  • Oversee kitchen production, ensuring consistency and excellence
  • Manage safety and sanitation protocols within the kitchen
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to develop menus and manage inventory
  • Utilize computer skills to operate POS, scheduling, and event/catering software
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
