Job Requirements
- Minimum two years experience in a kitchen environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of entree, soup, and salad preparation at high volume
- Ability to prepare quality food quickly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to follow directions and recipes
- Customer interaction skills
- Prior kitchen experience of two to three years
- Experience in banquet service preferred
- Flexibility in working different stations
- Quick learner
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Prepare food for all stations including specials and other food stations
- Maintain sanitation and food safety in designated food stations
- Track cycle menus and temperature control logs
- Assist café management with food production, catering, and events
- Oversee multiple service stations and lead the team in Chef's absence
- Manage food ordering and maintain food request sheets
- Control food and operational costs to maximize revenue
- Communicate professionally with vendors and team members
- Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and employment laws
- Train staff on café stations and catering procedures
- Assist in kitchen and catering preparations
- Maintain quality standards for menu items and food production
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Maintain sanitation standards exceeding Health Department requirements
- Assist with stock management and kitchen equipment setup
- Participate in delivery and receipt of catering orders
- Input recipes and invoices into computer-based systems
- Complete daily production logs accurately
- Support operations accounting procedures
- Promote teamwork and problem-solving within the kitchen environment
- Work flexible schedules and lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform all other café duties as required
