Job Qualifications

  • minimum 2 years of experience in a sous chef or senior culinary role preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • a culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized culinary institute is preferred
  • strong knowledge of italian cuisine and culinary techniques with a passion for exploring regional flavors and ingredients
  • proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic kitchen environment
  • servsafe certification or equivalent food safety training is a plus

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in all aspects of kitchen operations including menu development food preparation and quality control
  • oversee kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow and adherence to culinary standards
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment upholding sanitation and safety regulations
  • collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and visually stunning dishes showcasing the flavors of coastal italy
  • execute recipes with precision and consistency meeting the highest standards of taste and presentation
  • monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure sufficient stock for daily operations
  • train and mentor kitchen staff fostering a culture of teamwork creativity and excellence
  • flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
