Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and occasional evenings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff
- ServSafe certification or equivalent highly preferred
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a Sous Chef in upscale dining or event-driven environments
- Well-rounded skills in both a la carte service and banquet production
- Team-oriented dependable and calm under pressure
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexible availability including weekends for event execution
- ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred
Job Duties
- Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations including prep service and event execution
- Help lead and mentor kitchen staff ensuring a positive and productive work culture
- Support menu planning and execution for lunch service and private events
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality presentation and sanitation
- Assist in managing food and labor costs to support overall kitchen profitability
- Collaborate with FOH managers and event teams for smooth successful service
- Step in as acting chef in the absence of the Executive Chef
