Job Qualifications
- Five years of applicable foodservice experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge or associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field with two years of foodservice experience
- Leadership and managerial abilities including excellent organizational and communication skills
- Understanding and commitment to equal access and equal opportunity
- American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified or Certifiable as a Certified Culinarian or higher (CC or CPC)
- Commitment to the mission of a comprehensive two-year college and community development
- Preferred qualifications include Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- ACF Certified as a Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) or higher
- ServSafe certified
Job Duties
- Produce menus for daily food service and catering events at multiple campus locations
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Work night and weekend shifts to support events as needed
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate kitchen team members, including work study and practicum students
- Monitor and control food and labor costs efficiently
- Order ingredients and supplies, and complete weekly inventories following policy requirements
- Maintain and standardize recipes to ensure consistency in food production and service
- Maintain food safety management system based on HACCP principles and maintain temperature logs
- Coordinate with relevant departments to address kitchen issues and support hospitality services
- Promote the mission of University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College and perform other duties as assigned
