Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent professional experience
- minimum of 2-3 years in a progressive culinary leadership role
- school foodservice and catering experience required
- strong understanding of cost controls production systems and kitchen operations
- must be proficient with microsoft office and foodservice systems
- strong communication and organizational skills
- must be local to the charleston sc area relocation not offered
- ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties
- Assist the executive chef in managing kitchen operations ensuring efficient service for daily meals and special functions
- lead the culinary team in the preparation and execution of food service
- support catering operations for evening school events weekend functions and summer camps
- develop and refine seasonal menus that meet nutritional guidelines and student preferences
- monitor and control food and labor costs assist with ordering and vendor relationships
- enforce food safety sanitation and allergen control practices in compliance with regulatory standards
- train and mentor hourly team members fostering a culture of collaboration and service excellence
