Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or relevant certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Physically able to perform kitchen duties
- Commitment to sustainability and quality
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory kitchen role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of Hawaii Regional Cuisine and local ingredients preferred
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with sustainability initiatives in food service preferred
Job Duties
- Perform all tasks in the Alan Wong's Restaurant including relieving the Chef de Cuisine
- Supervise and train all kitchen employees at the restaurant
- Assist the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Chef de Cuisine in planning and organizing food preparation
- Ensure maintenance of food quality and freshness standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage daily operations effectively
- Implement sustainability practices in food sourcing and preparation
