Job Requirements
- 2+ years of cooking experience in a well-rated restaurant
- ServSafe certification
- ability to work shifts with long periods of walking and standing
- must have Food Handler's Card
- strong time management skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend and evening shifts
- ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- ability to be respectful, approachable, and team oriented

Job Duties
- Create daily specials for lunch and dinner and ensure proper food presentation
- incorporate local ingredients in menu items when possible
- work with GM to monitor and control inventory and determine supplies to purchase
- assist GM in scheduling kitchen staff
- work with GM to control labor costs
- participate in interviewing and hiring of kitchen staff
- promote teamwork among kitchen staff
- participate in training of new personnel
- maintain all food safety aspects according to state and local guidelines
- ensure cleanliness of kitchen including cooking vessels and dishes
- track and schedule kitchen equipment maintenance
- maintain a clean and safe kitchen
- work all kitchen positions as needed
- discuss food items and menus with customers and media
