We are now seeking a dynamic, skilled, and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will be entrusted with assisting the Executive Chef and acting as a key figure in managing the kitchen's operation. This role requires a strong leader who can uphold the restaurant brand’s reputation as an ambassador of our product and the embodiment of our hospitality ethos. The Sous Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, sharing responsibilities as an essential member of the management team. You will be entrusted with oversight of kitchen operations including ordering supplies, troubleshooting inventory and production variances, and participating actively in the creation and refinement of our menus. As part of your leadership duties, you will mentor and develop the skills of line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, ensuring cohesive teamwork and consistent quality. Maintaining the integrity and high standards of our kitchen systems will be paramount, along with safeguarding the financial health and efficiency of the kitchen's back-of-house operations. Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • culinary degree or equivalent certification

  • ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • physical stamina to work long hours

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 3 years experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
  • culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in daily kitchen operations
  • oversee ordering and inventory management
  • troubleshoot variances in production and costs
  • participate in menu development and planning
  • mentor and develop kitchen staff including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • ensure quality control and consistency of all dishes
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
