The role of the Sous Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals who excel not only in cooking but also in team leadership and kitchen management. As a Sous Chef, you will be a crucial part of the Food & Beverage program, ensuring the consistent delivery of delicious meals that meet the company’s high standards. This role involves both creative culinary skills and operational expertise, requiring you to manage daily kitchen functions efficiently while maintaining budget controls on food costs, labor, and supplies. You'll work closely with the management team to supervise banquet events and collaborate with sales and operations staff to ensure seamless execution.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality or restaurant venues
  • Experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events preferred
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and adjust as necessary
  • Plan, supervise, and execute banquet functions in collaboration with operations and sales staff
  • Estimate food consumption and make purchases in accordance with the specified food program
  • Schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
  • Foster a teamwork environment while supervising food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage
  • Assist in managing kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits to comply with Department of Health regulations
  • Maintain clean and safe kitchen environment and report critical issues promptly to General Manager
