We are currently seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that delight our customers and reflect the seasons' best ingredients. This role is perfect for an experienced culinary professional who brings creativity, discipline, and leadership to the kitchen. As the Sous Chef, you will assist with the daily operations of the kitchen, helping to boost revenue and profitability through smart management and culinary excellence. This role demands a strong leader who can supervise and coordinate food preparation, ensure adherence to food safety standards, and maintain inventory with a keen eye toward cost-efficiency. Training and mentoring kitchen staff will also be a key responsibility, helping to build a cohesive and motivated team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Extensive hands-on culinary experience
  • Valid ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
  • Prior experience in a supervisory kitchen role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Physical stamina to handle kitchen demands

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Extensive previous culinary experience
  • Certification from culinary school preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
  • Excellent management and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Create innovative menus according to the seasonal availability of ingredients and customer expectations
  • Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations with a goal of increasing revenue and profit
  • Supervise and coordinate all food preparation and presentation
  • Provide training and leadership for kitchen staff
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and negotiate with vendors to get high-quality products at the best price
  • Follow all food safety rules and regulations
