Job Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent
  • One to three years of food preparation experience
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Ability to obtain required food handling or supervision licenses
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of banquet production preferred
  • Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and food preparation experience
  • One to three years food preparation experience including sauces, soups, meat and seafood
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of banquet production and planning preferred
  • Current ServSafe Certification
  • Ability to obtain local or state required food handling, supervision, or sanitation licenses and certifications

Job Duties

  • Assist the chef with overseeing the day to day operation of the kitchen and maintaining the highest quality food products and service
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness in accordance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • Prepare and coordinate daily meals per standardized recipes
  • Coordinate and oversee meal preparation for quality assurance, presentation and portion control
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to promote effective team performance
