Job Description

Stanly Ranch, Auberge Collection is an exceptional luxury resort located in the heart of Napa Valley, California. Positioned on over 700 acres of picturesque rolling vineyards and farmland in the southern section of Napa Valley's renowned wine-growing region, it provides an extraordinary setting that accesses both Napa and Sonoma. This resort features 135 airy cottage guestrooms and suites, each designed with outdoor terraces complete with fire pits and stunning views of the Mayacamas Mountains. This property embodies the natural beauty and refined elegance of Napa Valley while fostering a vibrant community and destination experience. Stanly Ranch offers rare ownership opportunities, including a limited collection of three- to six-bedroom Vineyard Homes and furnished two-bedroom Villas, providing an exclusive chance to own a piece of this luxurious landscape.

Stanly Ranch’s amenities are unmatched, featuring Halehouse, an Auberge spa dedicated to offering targeted and intentional treatments designed to help guests reach their full potential. Culinary experiences abound with three unique dining venues, including Bear, which honors local farmers and artisans through thoughtfully prepared dishes that showcase regional ingredients. The resort also offers thrilling adventures and immersive experiences that provide guests with behind-the-scenes access to the vibrant culture and natural beauty of wine country. The resort embraces its rich 100-year Napa Valley history and has evolved from a working ranch into a deeply-rooted luxury destination that captures the essence of casual yet honest luxury centered on culture and cultivation.

The role available is that of a Sous Chef, an integral position providing essential support to the Executive Chef. This position is vital in maintaining the high culinary standards expected at Stanly Ranch, ensuring superior quality and innovation in every dish served. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staffing, and inventory management. They will play a pivotal role in menu development, helping to create and refine offerings that incorporate seasonal ingredients, current culinary trends, and guest preferences to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Collaboration and leadership are at the core of this role. The Sous Chef is expected to inspire and supervise the culinary team, enforcing rigorous hygiene and safety practices while fostering a culture of teamwork and culinary excellence. This position demands a hands-on approach to oversee food preparation, ensuring that each dish meets precise recipes and quality standards. The Sous Chef also conducts regular inspections of food items to maintain impeccable presentation, taste, and temperature, promptly addressing any issues that arise.

The compensation for this position starts at $80,000 per year, reflecting the resort’s commitment to attracting skilled culinary professionals. Individual salaries are based on experience, education, and other factors, providing a competitive package within the luxury hospitality industry. This full-time role offers an opportunity to thrive in a prestigious environment that values creativity, leadership, and a passion for culinary arts, making it an excellent career step for those seeking to join a renowned hospitality collection. Stanly Ranch, Auberge Collection, provides a unique blend of luxury lifestyle, community, and career development in one of the world’s most desirable destinations.
