Job Requirements
- 2 to 4 years related experience in culinary or related professional area
- bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- strong organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively with others
- self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- ability to maintain food safety standards
- experience in supervising kitchen staff

- 2 to 4 years related experience in culinary or professional cooking

Job Duties
- Direct, train and mentor all associates
- assign duties and shifts and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and operating procedures
- write and develop menus, feature offerings, usage records, quality standards and presentation standards
- prepare and cook food according to standards and monitor food production
- ensure opening and closing procedures are completed
- ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies
- complete monthly food inventory with purchasing department
- monitor food production, ordering, cost, quality and consistency to meet budgeted food cost and profitability
- assist at any kitchen stations as needed
- coordinate catering event details with management and staff
- implement and follow all brand standards and initiatives
- attend staff meetings to discuss policies and guest complaints
- ensure effective departmental communication
- perform administrative tasks including inventory, budget maintenance, payroll processing and purchasing
- maintain up-to-date records and files
- provide information on hotel services
- ensure cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas
