Job Requirements
- Three years of prior supervisor experience required
- Three years of prior cook and/or chef experience required
- Open availability preferred including some nights and weekends
- Ability to work full time
- Large scale kitchen experience a plus
- Ability to perform essential duties in educational facility environment
Job Qualifications

- Experience with large scale kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to lead and coordinate kitchen staff efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage inventory and production tracking
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Keeps display equipment clean during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly manner
- Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains to associates and customers
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
