Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed culinary training at an accredited institute
  • At least two years’ experience as a first cook
  • Supervisory experience in a kitchen setting
  • Knowledge of health department and HACCP regulations
  • Food Safe certification
  • HACCP certification
  • First Aid with CPR and AED certification required
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education

  • Minimum two years of first cook experience
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Food Safe Certificate

Job Duties

  • Assign specific duties to kitchen employees for efficient kitchen operations
  • Visually inspect and select fresh ingredients including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and fowl
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper menu item preparation
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products according to health and HACCP regulations
  • Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality
  • Read and apply math skills to follow recipes accurately
  • Process requisitions for kitchen supplies
