Job Requirements

  • Prior institutional cooking experience
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time with variable schedules
  • Must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily
  • Compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to interact with customers
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
  • Legal eligibility to work in the location

Job Qualifications

  • Prior institutional cooking experience
  • Supervisory and leadership skills in a culinary environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to manage scheduling and payroll for staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, performance reviews, and recommending disciplinary action
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, utensils, and workstation
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints amicably
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of products and supplies, tracks production, consumption, and waste
  • Performs other duties as assigned
