Within this vibrant setting, the Sous Chef plays a crucial leadership role as part of the kitchen management team. The Sous Chef is responsible for overseeing food preparation across all shifts in the Sports Grill/QSR operations. This role requires ensuring that all kitchen staff adhere to the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service. Working directly under the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef coordinates kitchen activities, monitors inventory, controls food and labor costs, and assists in menu development. Job Requirements
- minimum eight years of progressive food preparation experience or culinary arts degree with three years experience or an accredited apprenticeship plus four years experience
- supervisory or management experience
- ability to communicate professionally with front of house staff
- exceptional guest service and problem-solving skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- tolerance for noise, smoke, and temperature variations
- ability to obtain and maintain state or tribal gaming license
- ability to work full-time
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to handle kitchen tools safely
Job Qualifications
- culinary arts degree or accredited apprenticeship
- supervisory or management experience
