Job Requirements

  • minimum eight years of progressive food preparation experience or culinary arts degree with three years experience or an accredited apprenticeship plus four years experience
  • supervisory or management experience
  • ability to communicate professionally with front of house staff
  • exceptional guest service and problem-solving skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • tolerance for noise, smoke, and temperature variations
  • ability to obtain and maintain state or tribal gaming license
  • ability to work full-time
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to handle kitchen tools safely

Job Qualifications

  • culinary arts degree or accredited apprenticeship
  • supervisory or management experience
  • knowledge of recipe preparation and culinary standards
  • strong guest service skills
  • administrative skills including coaching and scheduling
  • experience with budgeting and inventory control
  • valid food handlers certification

Job Duties

  • monitor food purchasing and inventory to control food and labor costs
  • hire, train and supervise kitchen staff
  • evaluate food preparation to ensure quality and consistency
  • assist in menu development and implementation
  • ensure storage and handling of food meet health regulations
  • communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • fill in across kitchen roles as needed
