The Sous Chef at Wyckoff Country Club plays a vital role in the culinary department, working closely with the Head Chef to manage the day-to-day kitchen operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job Requirements
- Culinary training or equivalent professional kitchen experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of kitchen experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or country clubs preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
Job Qualifications
- Culinary training or equivalent professional kitchen experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of kitchen experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or country clubs is highly desirable
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification required
Job Duties
- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food production
- Supervise and support kitchen staff including line cooks and prep cooks
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper presentation
- Support the preparation and execution of restaurant service, banquets, tournaments, and special events
- Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and product rotation
- Help manage portion control, waste reduction, and food cost awareness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Provide leadership and guidance to culinary team members during service
