The Sous Chef position at Perry's is a pivotal role that carries significant responsibilities in managing all aspects of kitchen operations alongside the Executive Chef and General Manager. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with the candidate's skill, education, and experience. As a Sous Chef, you will be entrusted with overseeing the preparation and presentation of all menu items to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. The position requires the ability to butcher proteins, manage inventory and ordering processes, and supervise back-of-house labor to align with the restaurant's operational goals and guest satisfaction criteria.

  • Culinary experience of at least two years preferred
  • Cooking experience of at least two years preferred
  • Ability to work day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts
  • Ability to maintain professional and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of culinary experience preferred
  • Two years of cooking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Managing all aspects of kitchen, food prep and service operations alongside Executive Chef and General Manager
  • Responsible for accurate creation and presentation of all food items served to guests
  • Insure quality and accuracy in preparation of all menu items
  • Butcher all proteins
  • Execute all paperwork associated with Chef position
  • Learn and be able to execute all kitchen positions effectively with the ability to teach and assist staff members
  • Manage back of house labor, meeting Perry's goals and guest requirements
  • Responsible for ordering, stocking and managing inventory levels and quality
  • Must maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work
