We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The Sous Chef will play an integral role in the management of daily kitchen operations and menu innovation. This position requires someone with creativity to develop new menu items and a strategic mindset to assist in inventory and labor management to maximize profits. The Sous Chef will assist the head chef in preparing the food and drink menu, oversee kitchen staffing and performance, and ensure that every plate meets the highest quality standards before it reaches our guests. This role demands hands-on leadership to manage kitchen staff, solve operational challenges, and step in for the head chef when necessary. Attention to sanitation and safety standards is critical, as is the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant culinary training or certification preferred
  • minimum of 2 years experience in a kitchen supervisory role
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • strong culinary skills and creativity
  • excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • knowledge of inventory and labor management
  • understanding of sanitation and safety standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist head chef in preparation of food and drink menu
  • oversee each plate prior to serving
  • fill in for head chef when needed
  • manage kitchen staff from schedule to performance assessment
  • solve kitchen issues as they arise
  • order kitchen supplies for stocking inventory
  • comply with sanitation and safety standards
