Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Understanding of kitchen sanitation and food safety regulations
  • Skilled in sustainability and menu planning
  • Proficient in using Gmail and Google Docs
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to adapt to changing plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to comply with safety and PPE requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in scratch cooking within a professional kitchen
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and food handling regulations
  • Skilled in menu planning and sustainability practices
  • Proficiency with Gmail and Google Docs
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Experience with diverse culinary trends and cuisines preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Assists the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations including preparation, cooking, plating, and timely service of menu items
  • Trains kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and adherence to recipes and standards
  • Procures ingredients and executes daily prep lists to ensure readiness by service time
  • Monitors inventory levels and manages proper storage and rotation of food to minimize waste
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Collaborates with the Executive Chef in menu planning and seasonal offerings that accommodate dietary restrictions
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
