Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years experience in culinary food and beverage or related field or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 2 years experience
  • Ability to lead kitchen staff and manage daily operations
  • Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to train and mentor employees
  • Ability to manage budgets schedules and kitchen equipment
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Legal eligibility to work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in culinary food and beverage or related professional area or 2 years experience with 2-year degree
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation and culinary best practices
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle guest feedback professionally
  • Proficiency in labor management systems and kitchen equipment operation
  • Experience in menu development and food presentation
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen shift operations and ensure compliance with food and beverage policies standards and procedures
  • Estimate daily production needs and communicate with kitchen personnel
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Prepare and cook food items for daily service and special functions
  • Develop and create new menu items and decorative food presentations
  • Maintain purchasing receiving and food storage standards
  • Ensure compliance with food handling sanitation and safety standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff and cooks
  • Lead shifts by preparing food and executing requests per specifications
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead motivate and build team cooperation
  • Monitor employee productivity and enforce performance expectations
  • Address guest feedback and resolve complaints to ensure exceptional service
  • Use labor management systems for scheduling and attendance tracking
  • Train employees in safety procedures
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve skills and performance
  • Participate in performance appraisal process and communicate feedback
  • Attend meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts
