Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years experience in culinary food and beverage or related field or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 2 years experience
- Ability to lead kitchen staff and manage daily operations
- Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to train and mentor employees
- Ability to manage budgets schedules and kitchen equipment
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Legal eligibility to work
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
- Minimum of 4 years experience in culinary food and beverage or related professional area or 2 years experience with 2-year degree
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation and culinary best practices
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to handle guest feedback professionally
- Proficiency in labor management systems and kitchen equipment operation
- Experience in menu development and food presentation
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Manage kitchen shift operations and ensure compliance with food and beverage policies standards and procedures
- Estimate daily production needs and communicate with kitchen personnel
- Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
- Prepare and cook food items for daily service and special functions
- Develop and create new menu items and decorative food presentations
- Maintain purchasing receiving and food storage standards
- Ensure compliance with food handling sanitation and safety standards
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff and cooks
- Lead shifts by preparing food and executing requests per specifications
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead motivate and build team cooperation
- Monitor employee productivity and enforce performance expectations
- Address guest feedback and resolve complaints to ensure exceptional service
- Use labor management systems for scheduling and attendance tracking
- Train employees in safety procedures
- Coach and mentor team members to improve skills and performance
- Participate in performance appraisal process and communicate feedback
- Attend meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts
