Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three to five years previous experience in culinary or food and beverage line position
  • one to two years experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Plan organize control and direct the work of employees in the kitchen department responsible for food preparation
  • ensure superior quality and consistency in all dishes
  • collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to develop menu and culinary innovations
  • oversee kitchen operations to maintain health and safety standards
  • train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance
  • manage inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth kitchen workflow
  • assist in budgeting and cost control within the kitchen department
