Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of kitchen or culinary management experience at a full-service upscale restaurant concept
  • strong leadership and team coaching skills
  • ability to maintain high food quality standards
  • experience in inventory management and food procurement
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to perform management duties across the restaurant
  • proficiency in training and developing staff

  • commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen

Job Duties

  • Maintain food quality standards for the restaurant
  • assist Executive Chef in overseeing food procurement, production, and service including inventory and ordering
  • fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • provide clear feedback to the kitchen team including staff and management
  • conduct daily pre-service meetings
  • provide immediate feedback on food quality, execution, and presentation
  • ensure target ticket times are consistently achieved while maintaining food quality
  • maintain all kitchen equipment and storage areas in clean, like new condition
  • ensure kitchen cleanliness and pass Health Department audits
  • enforce food safety, sanitation, and storage practices
  • assist Executive Chef with meeting sales, revenue, and profitability goals
  • manage vendor relations and ensure equipment functionality and cleanliness
  • strictly follow recipes and procedures
  • complete culinary line checks and sanitation checks daily
  • communicate with leaders, hourly team members, and guests to promote positive morale
  • perform duties of all management positions as needed
  • regularly counsel and coach team members
  • assist Executive Chef with staff evaluations
  • execute and train team members on company systems
  • train, develop, and motivate team members and leaders
  • follow training guide programs to ensure team members are qualified
  • ensure a safe and harassment-free workplace
  • take responsible action in problem solving and disciplinary issues
  • perform other duties as assigned
