Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, event-driven environments
  • Strong traditional cooking skills
  • Basic pastry and dessert preparation experience
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Formal culinary or pastry training is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
  • 2-3 years of culinary experience, preferably in banquets, catering, or large-production kitchens
  • Knowledge of both savory cooking techniques and basic pastry skills (desserts, baked goods, banquet pastries)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and quality
  • ServSafe certification a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items for banquets, catering events, and daily production
  • Execute recipes using traditional culinary methods while also contributing to pastry and dessert production when needed
  • Support banquet service by helping with buffets, plated dinners, and event-specific menus
  • Maintain prep lists, follow production schedules, and meet event timelines
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Wolfgang Puck Catering standards
  • Uphold kitchen sanitation, food safety, and organizational practices
  • Work collaboratively with culinary teammates to ensure smooth execution of high-volume events
  • Assist with inventory, receiving, and storage of products
