Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years culinary experience including leadership roles
- Ability to manage large kitchen teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
- Experience with kitchen inventory and ordering systems
- Willingness to work full-time hours
- Strong commitment to quality and hospitality
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a chef or in a leadership role in a kitchen
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and management
- Demonstrated creativity in culinary techniques and menu development
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food cost control and inventory management
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
Job Duties
- Manage a kitchen team of 15 plus cooks and 2-3 management-level sous chefs
- Oversee kitchen systems including inventory, prep lists, scheduling and ordering
- Develop creative culinary ideas and bring innovation to the menu
- Solve problems with practical, creative solutions
- Cook with expert knowledge of flavors and techniques
- Mentor and support kitchen staff
- Take ownership of the kitchen's financial performance
- Ensure maturity, organization and punctuality
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with the team
