Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role within the culinary industry
  • Strong background in fine dining establishments with banquet experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management
  • Knowledge of food service management practices including inventory management and food handling procedures
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with menu planning, catering services, and restaurant management practices is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining proper stock levels
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and development of new dishes
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage
  • Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
  • Handle special dietary requests and ensure all meals meet guest expectations
  • Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring timely service and quality food delivery
  • Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
