Job Requirements

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • High end catering experience
  • Culinary leadership skills
  • Experience with high volume foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Email
  • Willingness to engage in client satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • High end catering experience required
  • Culinary leadership experience
  • Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Email, and Internet
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
  • Union experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise preparation and cooking of food items
  • Develop daily menu items and ensure proper garnishment
  • Oversee and support hourly kitchen associates
