Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of culinary experience
  • proficiency in kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
  • ability to work Tuesday through Saturday with some weekend availability
  • capability to follow detailed recipes and standards
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to pass pre-hire health assessment and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a sous chef or similar culinary leadership role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to prepare diverse menus including special diets
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • experience working in senior living or healthcare culinary settings is a plus

Job Duties

  • support the executive chef in kitchen operations
  • mentor and lead culinary staff
  • prepare high-quality hot and cold meals
  • ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • cater to specialized dietary and modified diets
  • manage food waste and maintain cleanliness
  • work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment
