Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of culinary experience
- proficiency in kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
- ability to work Tuesday through Saturday with some weekend availability
- capability to follow detailed recipes and standards
- strong organizational skills
- ability to pass pre-hire health assessment and drug screen
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a sous chef or similar culinary leadership role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to prepare diverse menus including special diets
- strong leadership and communication skills
- culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- experience working in senior living or healthcare culinary settings is a plus
Job Duties
- support the executive chef in kitchen operations
- mentor and lead culinary staff
- prepare high-quality hot and cold meals
- ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- cater to specialized dietary and modified diets
- manage food waste and maintain cleanliness
- work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment
