Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Culinary Arts Program with AOS degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in high volume food production setting
  • Current Food Handlers Card or Serv Safe certification
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
  • Knowledge of special diets and food safety regulations
  • Familiarity with dining industry best practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, team members
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation rules
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under stressful conditions
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and early morning shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold food items following preparation sheets and recipes
  • Supervise production of special diet foods
  • Standardize work methods and food production lines
  • Supervise production and utility staff
  • Oversee dishwashing, pot washing, and sanitation
  • Manage scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluation of production team
  • Maintain food production, purchasing systems, inventory, and record keeping
  • Stay current with food preparation trends and presentation techniques
  • Participate in budget monitoring and end-of-month inventory
  • Manage problem-solving and quality food service programs
  • Maintain departmental uniform and safety standards
  • Participate in special projects and community relations
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, storage, and safety procedures
  • Address customer complaints and develop solutions
  • Assist in development of cross-marketing strategy
  • Perform all other assigned duties
