Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior culinary experience in a leadership capacity
  • ability to work Tuesday through Saturday with possible weekend and evening shifts
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • valid food handler certification
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • commitment to WesleyLife’s mission and values

  • experience as a sous chef or similar culinary leadership role
  • knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for older adults
  • strong culinary skills and creativity
  • leadership and team management abilities
  • familiarity with health and safety standards

Job Duties

  • support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations
  • mentor and train culinary staff
  • prepare high-quality hot and cold meals
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • contribute to menu development and recipe refinement
  • manage food inventory and minimize waste
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
