  • Experience in fast-paced high volume university or institutional food service operation preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure all areas are setup and broken down in accordance with SOPs
  • Understand operation, keep equipment clean and in excellent condition through personal inspection and place work orders for equipment in need of repair
  • Fulfill and serve hands-on production of menus by prepping, cooking, baking and assembling standardized recipes
  • Ensure all ParTech and A9 labeling procedures are followed during shifts and determine corrective action when out of compliance
  • Direct work flow of assigned staff and production
  • Make service decisions based on product outages and menu changes
  • Assist with ordering and receiving of product as needed
  • Successfully pass State Food Safety Manager Level Certification and assist staff with tutoring
  • Assist with culinary staff selection, training and onboarding process
  • Create standardized operating procedures and staff training methods
  • Empower others to make decisions within their span of control
  • Ensure employees follow schedule, appropriate breaks and correct procedures for requesting time off
  • Manage performance and hold employees accountable
  • Follow progressive coaching processes and present staff issues to Executive Culinary Team/HR
  • Report workplace injuries and follow departmental HR processes
  • Demonstrate thoughtful and timely communication
  • Provide and ensure customer service standards
  • Offer recommendations to Executive Culinary team to improve daily operations
  • Contribute to menu development and oversee inventory and purchasing needs
  • Serve on food safety response team and respond to food safety emergencies
