Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook in a professional kitchen
  • Strong culinary knowledge and understanding of kitchen equipment and food safety practices
  • Proven leadership and team management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and excellent organization
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to stay calm and adapt under pressure
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties

  • Supervise and lead line and prep cooks during prep and service
  • Ensure team follows all recipes, portioning, and plating standards
  • Create and manage prep lists to support kitchen efficiency
  • Conduct quality checks on food presentation and flavor
  • Oversee daily cleaning, sanitation checklists, and compliance with health codes
  • Support menu planning, seasonal specials, and recipe development with the Executive Chef
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain consistency and promote professional growth
  • Enforce kitchen policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, ingredient quality, and waste reduction
  • Act as kitchen lead in the absence of the Executive Chef
