Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen supervision or similar culinary leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
  • Familiarity with inventory management and cost control
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise back-of-house operations and ensure smooth execution of service
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation across all menu items
  • Lead the kitchen team by example, training and coaching staff on recipes, techniques, and kitchen protocols
  • Support the General Manager in managing food and labor costs by monitoring prep levels, portion control, and waste
  • Manage inventory, receive orders, and ensure proper storage and labeling of all ingredients
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to improve kitchen workflow, address performance issues, and develop new menu ideas
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly
