Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as sous chef or in kitchen management
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous sous chef experience
  • Kitchen management experience
  • Corporate dining experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and lead food service associates
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and track product use and waste

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action when appropriate
  • Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and clean workstations thoroughly
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate understanding of daily menu items and explain them accurately
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies and inform supervisor when low
  • Perform other duties as assigned
