Job Requirements

  • Food Handler Certificate
  • Ability to stand for extended periods with well-paced mobility
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for cleaning tasks
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials
  • Minimum two years of relevant restaurant experience

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years experience in a full service, moderate to high volume restaurant
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to focus, multitask, and work well under pressure
  • Organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef in supervising kitchen staff including receiving, storing, prepping, and cooking
  • Maintain updated and accurate recipes and costing for all dishes
  • Oversee preparation methods, portion sizes, and timeliness of food preparation while controlling waste
  • Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with restaurant team
  • Assist in sourcing supplies and equipment ensuring quality and pricing
  • Plan, assign, and coordinate work for Line Cooks team
  • Provide recipes and suggest methods and procedures for Line Cooks
  • Maintain accurate and detailed production records
  • Participate in preparing food items on the line for service
