Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years full-service experience required
  • Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience required
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
  • Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures including hot kitchens to refrigerators and freezers
  • Compliance with state regulations and requirements
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years full-service culinary experience
  • Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume culinary environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to dietary restrictions and special nutritional requirements

Job Duties

  • Supervises the scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff
  • Oversees all culinary functions in the Chef's absence including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation
  • Manages daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals
  • Directs the preparation and service of all menu items adhering to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasts
  • Oversees the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock
  • Ensures compliance with food safety regulations and maintains high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Collaborates with management to develop menus and enhance the dining experience for residents
