Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Asian Chef in upscale or luxury dining environments
- Formal culinary training preferred
- equivalent experience considered
- Experience working in multicultural, high-volume kitchens
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and food safety knowledge
- Ability to lead by example with calm and focus under pressure
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Support the Executive Chef in managing all back-of-house operations including food preparation, execution, and kitchen sanitation
- Lead the preparation and execution of Asian menus, ensuring authenticity, consistency, and innovation
- Assist with menu development and tastings for the hotel restaurant, private events, and banquets
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet luxury and brand standards at all times
- Act as a role model for culinary standards and workplace professionalism
- Train and mentor line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards on Asian techniques and kitchen safety
- Foster a collaborative and disciplined kitchen environment aligned with hotel culture
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety codes, including proper storage, rotation, and sanitation
- Assist in scheduling, timekeeping, and performance evaluations of kitchen staff
- Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for assigned food areas
- Ensure food is consistently delivered with timeliness, accuracy, and artistry
- Support private dining and banquet events with custom Chinese cuisine offerings
- Collaborate with front-of-house and banquet teams to ensure seamless service for VIP guests and special events
