Job Requirements

  • education in culinary arts preferred
  • at least five years of relevant professional experience
  • ability to plan and organize work efficiently
  • ability to interpret instructions and follow recipes
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized systems
  • willingness to work full-time hours
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of five years of experience in a fine dining environment within a hotel, restaurant, or private club
  • culinary education preferred
  • previous supervisory experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ability to utilize computerized inventory and ordering systems
  • knowledge of nutrition, diet, and healthcare is a plus

Job Duties

  • provide leadership in the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • oversee food ordering and inventory management
  • assist with all stages of special event planning
  • develop and execute diverse menus for event dining, catering, à la carte service, and buffet offerings
  • ensure each dish meets standards of presentation, quality, and proper portioning
  • maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen work environment
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to train and mentor team members
