Job Requirements

- At least 1 years of related experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have legal right to work in the United States
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
- Must have knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

- Must possess Serve Safe Food Handler Certificate

Job Duties
- Work closely with the Chef to plan, prepare, and serve all meals
- Assist in food service operation, menu development, and sanitation
- Conduct periodic and regular inspections of units to observe quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, and cleanliness of production and service areas and equipment
- Assist Chef with product consistency, make necessary modifications according to facility needs
- monitor waste and over-production of food product, utilize leftovers, ensure proper rotation and quality control
- Manage kitchen in the absence of the Chef
- Participate in training as required to meet facility needs and health and safety codes
- Ensure all food products prepared meet or exceed established specifications and standards
- Maintain a sanitary, neat, safe, and comfortable environment for employees and persons served
- Educate persons served about nutrition, including risks and benefits
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all actions
- Complete required training in a timely manner
