  • proven experience as a sous chef
  • ability to execute various cooking methods
  • excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • familiarity with industry best practices
  • working knowledge of computer software programs including ms office, restaurant management software and pos
  • bs degree in culinary science or related certificate preferred

Job Duties

  • help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
  • produce high quality plates in both design and taste
  • ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • fill in for the executive chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules and assess staff performance
  • comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and residents
