Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef
  • Ability to execute various cooking methods
  • Experience working with a variety of ingredients, equipment and cooking procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Familiar with industry's best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs including MS Office, restaurant management software and POS
  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate is a plus

Job Duties

  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
  • Produce high quality plates in both design and taste
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
  • Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules and assess staff performance
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and residents
