Job Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Certification in Serve Safe Management
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in supervising the day to day activities of kitchen staff
  • Assign responsibilities for specified work
  • Set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
  • Promote safety and sanitation
  • Inspect all food product handling
  • Establish and maintain safe practices
  • Follow HACCP procedures
  • Assist with menu planning
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Maintain effective cost control, service and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with company and franchise operating procedures
  • Ensure products are prepared and presented according to brand standards
  • Serve as a resource for resolving complex problems
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement and promotion
  • Maintain effective communication and positive associate relations
  • Conduct performance reviews and progressive discipline
  • Manage incentive and development programs
  • Provide high quality customer service
  • Ensure proper staff training and support for customer satisfaction and product quality
