Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- four years experience in culinary, food and beverage or related professional area
- or two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- two years experience in culinary, food and beverage or related professional area
- ability to manage and lead kitchen staff
- strong organizational skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Manage kitchen shift operations and ensure compliance with food and beverage policies and procedures
- estimate daily production needs and communicate to kitchen personnel
- assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
- prepare and cook various foods for guests and special functions
- develop and create new menu applications and decorative food displays
- maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- supervise and coordinate cooks and food preparation workers
- lead shifts while personally preparing food items
- use interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate the team
- encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among staff
- serve as a role model demonstrating proper behaviors
- maintain employee productivity levels
- establish and communicate performance expectations
- recognize and reward successful performance
- provide exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints
